In Kokkedal, our solution was chosen precisely because the area's clay-rich soil proved to be a challenge. BOXofGREEN creates optimal growing conditions and keeps the hedge plants' root balls moist throughout the establishment phase using natural rainwater – which significantly reduces the need for irrigation.

When planting a hedge with BOXofGREEN, batts are placed at the bottom of the trench, and the hedge plants are placed directly on top. Soil and growing medium are filled around the sides of the root ball to provide nutrients and hold the plants in place. Typically, watering is only necessary 2–5 times during the first two years, depending on the amount of rainfall. The roots establish quickly in the moist growth batt and begin to grow naturally – and from there, the plants largely take care of themselves.
