We came together on a new way to plant trees.
And it quickly became a full-time occupation.

It was actually Hans who had the idea. He had been involved in developing a completely new type of hard stone wool. As a curious gardener, he discovered that if you placed it in the ground around the roots of a tree, it had a significant beneficial effect on the tree's growth and health.

Then Brian, Tommy, and Jesper joined, and together BOXofGREEN was built up, so today there is a cozy office, nice storage facilities, strong coffee on the pot, and a lot of happy customers.

The goal from the start was to plant more trees in the cities. Because the BOXofGREEN box is better suited than any other form of tree planting for urban trees. Both because it doesn’t require much space. And because almost no irrigation is needed afterwards. Since then, the stone wool has been further developed, so today it can also be used for many other tree-related purposes: Assistance for older trees, planting hedges, rainwater drainage, help for trees that are very dry, etc.

The world, and especially cities, need more healthy trees. That was what we came together on in the beginning. And it is still our wish and driving force every single day when we go to work.

Hans is the mind behind BOXofGREEN and has spent large parts of his life working with trees. He knows what it takes for a tree to have the very best growing conditions. Hans has had his own special nursery for large trees for 35 years.

In addition to the 4 partners, we have also teamed up with Susan Kjærgaard and Claus Tobler on the board.
With the two on board, we have gained a lot of good energy and expertise in strategy, HR, ESG, and entrepreneurship.

As some experts and professionals may have noticed, it is a small Ginkgo Biloba (temple tree) leaf that adorns our logo name. The small leaf has been chosen with great consideration because it symbolizes what we want to represent in BOXofGREEN.
