Help with large trees

On the Boulevard in Vejle, there stands a long row of linden trees in the median strip. Although they have been there for many years, they still struggle to survive, as the terrain causes surface water to quickly drain away. Therefore, they are dependent on being artificially irrigated every single year to thrive.
Our method for helping the trees essentially involves burying four loose BOXofGREEN batts around each of the selected trees. The batts support the tree by capturing and retaining rainwater, which both strengthens the root system and significantly reduces the need for irrigation – from many annual waterings to only three waterings in 2024. The batts are placed along the large roots, and the burial has been done as carefully as possible to avoid damaging the root system.
Just after the first growing season, the results are clear – the trees that were supported with BOXofGREEN batts already have significantly longer shoot lengths compared to the trees that stand without batts and are still being traditionally watered.
