Healthy roadside trees

Things are going well in Aarhus.
At least with the trees we planted together with Port of Aarhus at the end of March 2025 on the access road towards the terminals and ferry to Zealand.
until now, there has been a row of 167 trees, struggling daily with both a harsh coastal climate and a lot of traffic. In close collaboration with Port of Aarhus, we planted 6 Chinese fir trees (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) and 6 oaks (Quercus palustris) in BOXofGREEN boxes. The tree species have been carefully selected to cope with the challenges faced at the port.

Three months later, the new trees are doing just as well as expected: All have grown as they should - all with healthy crowns.

We will continue to keep a close eye on the trees, with the aim of giving the entire road stretch new life.
