Healthy street trees in Aarhus

It is going well in Aarhus.
At least with the trees we planted together with Aarhus Havn / Port of Aarhus at the end of March 2025 along the stretch Østhavnsvej towards the terminals and the fast ferry.
So far, there have been 167 trees, which daily struggle with both a raw coastal climate and a lot of traffic. In close collaboration with Aarhus Havn - Port of Aarhus, we planted 6 Chinese swamp cypresses (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) and 6 pin oaks (Quercus palustris) in BOXofGREEN boxes. The tree species have been carefully selected to withstand exactly the challenges faced at the port.

Three months later, it is just as good as expected with the new trees: All have grown as they should - all with healthy crowns.
We will continue to keep a close eye on the trees, with the aim of giving the entire avenue new life.
